An exciting opportunity for an experienced manufacturing operations manager/director with strong project management experience to join a growing organisation.

Our client is going through an exciting period of change with extensive growth plans. They are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to design and deliver a programme of change, to include:

  • The relocation of manufacturing and distribution operations from one site to others
  • Optimisation of site operations and layouts
  • Coordination of all workstreams, including manufacturing, distribution, systems and people
  • Hands on role, devising the strategy and making the change happen
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to ensure optimum success of the change
  • Act as the operational lead on the project, working with multiple workstream leads including IT and HR
  • Manage all Health & Safety related risk

This Manufacturing Project Manager role requires an experienced hands-on Operations Manager or Director with extensive experience of Project Management, with:

  • Proven experience in site consolidation and relocation
  • Strong industrial manufacturing and distribution background
  • Experience of the full project lifecycle and working across multiple workstreams
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Lean Manufacturing, ideally with a relevant qualification
  • Ability to work autonomously and at pace
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to start this role on short notice and commit to 12-18 months and beyond, ideally based in the Midlands region
