We are seeking a skilled Asset Finance Associate to join a leading international law firm in Manchester. This role focuses on providing legal expertise in asset finance matters, offering an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-value transactions.

Your duties will include:

  • Advising on finance leasing, receivables and debt finance, vendor finance, buying and selling lease books and structuring issues.
  • Working for clients that are key to the wider finance and projects group and to the firm.
  • Being exposed to a wide range of asset types, including rolling stock, aviation, marine vessels, commercial vehicles, energy and industrial plant, telecommunications and medical equipment, and IT hardware.
  • Collaborating with the firm's wider teams and working with clients across the transport and energy sectors (among others).
  • Contributing to the team's reputation for excellence and supporting the continued growth and success of the practice.
  • Taking responsibility for business development by engaging directly with client contacts at networking events and providing training.
  • Engaging with formal training programmes (whether technical or skills based) and drawing on mentoring, coaching and leadership development programmes available.
  • Participating in the client's market leading Associate and Managing Associate development programmes to map out key objectives and timescales for career progression.
