The predicted salary is between 48000 - 53000 £ per year.

As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to strengthen financial control, improve project visibility, and support operational decision-making across multiple entities and projects in the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other departments on contracts in Europe and worldwide to ensure that the most efficient methods (time and financial) are utilised.
  • Understand European and international VAT implications of goods movements from within Europe and from and into the UK.
  • Assist in the VAT triangulation in Europe and ensuring the best practice is followed.
  • Help and support the transport department with import and export - to include Incoterms, CPC codes and other import/export issues.
  • Managing projects on an inter company basis, to ensure revenue recognition remains consistent.
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly management accounts for all group companies.
  • Deliver variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with statutory audit requirements and year-end reporting.
  • Produce cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
  • Maintain accurate project accounting across engineering and manufacturing contracts.
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, ensuring appropriate recognition of costs and revenues.
  • Work with project managers to review project performance, risks, accruals, and forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate percentage-of-completion and milestone-based accounting where applicable.

Qualifications

You will be qualified or QBE, ideally with an appreciation of contract / project accounting, goods in / out and VAT.
