The Maintenance Team Leader will oversee and ensure the effective operation of maintenance activities within the engineering and manufacturing department. This role is based in Plymouth and requires strong technical expertise within the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:
- Champion safety and compliance, ensuring all maintenance activities follow site standards, regulatory requirements, and robust EHS procedures.
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, driving strong performance, skills growth, and a collaborative, accountable culture.
- Plan and oversee all planned maintenance activities, ensuring PM tasks are completed safely, on time, and to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain and optimise the CMMS, ensuring accurate scheduling, work orders, reporting, and continuous improvement of maintenance routines.
- Provide hands-on technical support, resolving complex breakdowns and working cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement, using data and CI tools to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and standardise processes across shifts.
- Ensure clear communication and reporting, acting as the key link between maintenance and the wider business, and maintaining strong shift-to-shift continuity.
Profile:
- Time-served Engineer with HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-skilled disciplines.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance within injection moulding or manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical capability with hands-on fault finding, RCA, and CMMS proficiency.
- Solid understanding of injection moulding, automation, and supporting manufacturing systems.
- Effective communicator and people leader, able to motivate, develop, and engage teams.
- Experienced in CI/TPM environments with sound knowledge of EHS, risk assessment, and permit-to-work processes.
- Calm, structured problem-solver with a proactive mindset and a commitment to team growth, ownership, and continuous improvement.
