Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, robust financial controls, and statutory compliance across the business.

They are seeking a Finance Manager to join their leadership team and play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
- Description
- Finance Manager Responsibilities include;
- Financial Reporting & Month-End
- Leading key elements of the monthly management accounts process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate control accounts.
- Producing monthly KPI reporting, financial analysis, and insightful commentary.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Acting as deputy to the Head of Finance and taking ownership of the management accounts process when required.
- Financial Control & Compliance
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Supporting year-end audits through the preparation of audit schedules and working papers.
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with statutory compliance requirements.
- Driving process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting efficiency.
- Cashflow, Operations & Business Partnering
- Managing short and medium‑term cashflow forecasting and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Monitoring working capital performance, including debtors, creditors, and inventory metrics.
- Supporting operational finance activities across the ledger functions.
- Providing financial information and analysis to departmental managers to support strategic decision making.
- Contributing to finance transformation projects, system improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Profile
The successful candidate will be a technically strong and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys operating within a fast‑paced environment.
The Successful Finance Manager will have
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification. (Fully Qualified)
- Strong management accounting and month‑end reporting experience.
- Good technical accounting knowledge, including FRS 102.
- Experience supporting audits and statutory compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Experience within manufacturing, distribution, inventory‑led businesses, ERP systems, or finance transformation projects would be advantageous.
