Commercial Accountant opportunity within a growing international business, partnering closely with operational teams to provide financial insight, project analysis and commercial support. My client are a highly regarded, people-focused business operating in a service sector globally. I'm supporting them in finding a Commercial Accountant who is used to operating in a fast-paced environment and can add real value to the wider business. What really sets this business apart is its culture. The finance team is exceptionally stable, collaborative and supportive, with many long-serving employees across the finance team specifically, and the wider organisation. It's a business that genuinely invests in its people, encourages development, and offers the chance to build a long-term career in a positive and engaging environment.
You will work closely with commercial and senior management teams, providing financial insight, analysis and support across a range of client projects and business activities. You will also:
- Own month end, preparing journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
- Providing management reporting and commercial finance support to operational stakeholders
- Reviews of customer contracts and commercial agreements
- Monitoring project profitability and analysing WIP
- Supporting monthly revenue recognition and forecasting processes
- Approving purchase orders, invoices and project-related costs
- Supporting sales invoicing and working capital management
- Assisting with budgeting and re forecasting
- Supporting with audit requirements
My client are looking for a commercially minded accountant who doesn't mind getting hands on with month end but also enjoys building relationships across multiple disciplines and can influence decisions well. You will ideally have:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or qualified by relevant experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- Experience working in a project-led environment is desirable but not essential
Salary up to £58,000 Annual bonus TBC Pension contribution at 10% from employer Private healthcare Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 at home) 25 days holiday + bank holidays
