The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing a dedicated finance team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Finance Director as required.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage periodic financial reporting to Group HQ.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust financial controls and safeguard data integrity.
- Drive cost management, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with senior management, department heads, auditors and external advisors.
- Lead, develop and performance-manage the finance team.
- Continuously improve financial systems, processes and controls.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Industry experience in manufacturing or construction advantageous
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and regulatory requirements
- Strong double-entry bookkeeping and financial transaction accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights
- Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
