Michael Page are partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Financial Accountant for their finance team based in Llandudno. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a high-performing finance function and play a key role in statutory reporting, compliance and technical accounting projects across a multi-entity business.

The role has arisen following an internal restructure and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while working closely with senior finance leadership on a range of interesting technical accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • VAT returns and indirect tax compliance
  • Corporation tax preparation and liaison with external advisers
  • Supporting month-end reporting and management accounts production
  • Technical accounting research and implementation
  • Supporting the business through upcoming FRS 102 changes
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group reporting requirements
  • Company secretarial activities
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions and wider business projects
  • Process improvement and strengthening financial controls
  • Working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business

Profile:

  • Qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Previous experience within a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts
  • VAT and tax compliance experience
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A proactive approach and willingness to drive improvements
  • Experience gained within industry, retail, manufacturing or other commercial environments is particularly encouraged
