Whilst the role oversees operational finance activities, the primary focus is on ensuring strong accounting integrity, robust financial controls, accurate financial reporting, and the delivery of high quality financial information to support business decision making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with team leadership and process improvement.
You'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of the financial records, system enhancements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving continuous improvements across finance processes.
- Description
- Leading and developing a finance transactional team responsible for delivering high quality workflow activities including cash flow management, capital activities and accounts payable ledger
- Ensuring the completion of month end, quarter end, and year end activities.
- Owning key balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing the integrity of the general ledger.
- Strengthening financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Reviewing financial data, identifying risks, and driving corrective actions where required.
- Supporting external and internal audit processes and acting as a key contact for financial control matters.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve financial understanding and support effective decision-making.
- Driving process improvements, standardisation, and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Supporting wider finance transformation initiatives including system upgrades and continuous improvement programmes.
- Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have
- A professional accounting qualification (e. g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong accounting background with experience in financial reporting, financial control, or operational accounting environments.
- A solid understanding of balance sheet management, reconciliations, month-end processes, and statutory accounting principles.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- A proactive approach to improving processes, controls, and ways of working.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Experience working for a multi -subsidiary organisation

- A competitive ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 dependent on the level of experience.
