The Junior Fund Accountant will be responsible for supporting the fund accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves assisting with daily fund operations, performing reconciliations, preparing reports, and resolving accounting discrepancies. Working in a team of 4 within the Fund team, the ideal candidate will have 3 years+ Fund Accounting experience.

Oversee the day-to-day fund accounting operations across all fund ranges. Perform account reconciliations and review stock and cash reconciliation reports. Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records, including corporate actions and pricing issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to fund accounting processes. Assist in month-end reporting by compiling, preparing, and distributing financial reports. Support the year-end close process for all funds managed by official administrators. Collaborate with internal teams, including investment, operations, and legal, to ensure seamless coordination of fund-related activities. Build and maintain relationships with external service providers, such as auditors and official administrators. Assist in monitoring and reporting fund expenses and revenue, including fee calculations and invoicing. Contribute to the development and implementation of fund accounting policies and procedures.

Profile

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Fund Accounting.
  • A strong understanding of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations is essential to ensure accurate valuation and reporting of funds.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Part qualified - ACCA/CIMA/ÁCA.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Detail focused.
  • Understanding of financial products and instruments and their accounting.
  • Understanding of the Asset Management space.
