We are seeking an Interim Procurement Transformation Manager to lead the development and embedding of category management as part of a wider procurement transformation programme. This role focuses on building category management capability from the ground up, helping stakeholders move from reactive purchasing to a more structured, strategic, category-led approach to managing spend and suppliers. Client Details The organisation is a public sector entity. Description Key responsibilities include: Lead the development and implementation of category management across the organisation Work closely with stakeholders to define, build, and embed category strategies Help structure and categorise spend, building category knowledge and insight Develop and introduce category management templates, tools, and best‑practice frameworks Educate and support stakeholders to understand what category management is, why it matters, and how to apply it Support the handover of category management activity into business-as-usual ownership, ensuring sustainability Profile A successful Category Management Transformation Specialist should have: Strong experience in category management and strategic sourcing Proven ability to deliver procurement transformation and embed change Confident engaging, educating, and influencing stakeholders at different levels Experience developing category strategies, frameworks, and ways of working Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset Job Offer Competitive daily rate between £450 - £600 per day inside IR35 dependant on experience. Hybrid working pattern. Interim opportunity for 6 - 12 months
