A hands-on HR Generalist with UK payroll experience is required on an interim/day-rate basis, ideally starting ASAP to allow handover. This is a broad, operational role covering HR, payroll and light office management in a small, fast-growing, creative environment.

Our client is a B corp certified business who are a fast‑growing, creative consumer brand with a friendly, collaborative team of around 40 people. The business blends a close‑knit, hands‑on culture with the structure of a global parent group. It’s a lively, design‑led environment where people are supportive, down‑to‑earth, and genuinely passionate about their work. Description
  • Own end-to-end HR operations: onboarding, contracts, probation, performance processes
  • Maintain policies, handbook, and support updates for upcoming UK HR legislative changes
  • Oversee performance reviews and day-to-day people queries
  • Act as the in-house HR point of contact, supported by ad hoc HR consultancy
  • Run UK payroll (with Deal as HRIS/payroll provider)
  • Liaise with parent company for payroll sign-offs
  • Basic understanding of pensions, contributions, and payroll queries
  • Some exposure to small overseas payrolls (Germany, Austria, France) helpful but not essential
Profile

The successful Interim HR Generalist should have:

  • Strong HR generalist comfortable in a small, scrappy, hands-on environment
  • Able to balance HR, payroll, and light office management
  • Practical, proactive, energetic, people-oriented
  • Comfortable working with a creative, largely female team
  • Ideally experience with Deal or Rippling (not essential)
Job Offer
  • Hourly pay rate equivalent to £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
  • 4 days on site in Holborn
  • Ongoing rolling contract with the intention to go permanent.
  • 3 stage interview with an ideal start date in February
