As the Interim EHS Manager you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, safety, and process safety management systems within this FMCG business.

Client Details An organisation within the FMCG sector located in Thirsk.

Description The interim EHS Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on EHS matters, promoting safe, compliant, and sustainable operational practices.

Working in partnership with site leadership and stakeholders, you will ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, programs, standards, and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

You will: Act as the legal representative for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) matters for the business in Thirsk, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and supporting interactions with relevant authorities.

Support the Plant Manager in maintaining effective relationships with local communities, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders, contributing to a positive organisational reputation.

Support the implementation of EHS programs and assist in monitoring, testing, and evaluating EHS performance.

Collaborate with regional and country EHS teams to support site impact assessments and the management of operating and construction permits.
