Job Description

The Legal Counsel role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on a variety of legal and compliance topics that relate to the Firm and its business or services, including corporate, commercial, data protection, and compliance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts on behalf of the Firm.
  • Working closely with the Firm's Knowledge, Management, and Operations teams to review, design, and maintain appropriate company precedents, practice notes, policies, and procedures.
  • Staying up to date with changes to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the Firm and conducting legal research and analysis.

The Successful Applicant

Suitable candidates for the role of Legal Counsel will have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified solicitor
  • Proven experience in a wide range of areas that include, but are not limited to: Commercial, Corporate, Litigation, and Data Protection & Compliance.
  • Knowledge of law firm operations is essential.
  • Experience in operating in both a law firm and an in-house environment would be beneficial.
