The Group Transport Manager will oversee the logistics department, ensuring the efficient and cost‑effective operation of transport services to support inbound and delivery to customers on a national basis. This role is based in West Yorkshire and will support a multi‑site operation.
As the Group Transport Manager you will:
- Oversee and manage daily transport operations to ensure service levels are maintained alongside operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and best in class
- Monitor and manage fleet performance, maintenance, and scheduling
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes
- Manage relationships with external transport providers and negotiate contracts where necessary
- Analyse transport data and produce reports to support decision‑making
- Lead and develop the transport team to achieve operational goals
A successful Group Transport Manager should have:
