Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of HR for the manufacturing site in Pontypool. This temporary position requires a proactive individual with strong organisational and leadership skills. Candidate must have experience working in a unionised environment.
Description
As the HR Manager, you will partner with the business and wider HR leadership team in the planning and implementation of HR initiatives and policies for the organisation. Lead a broad range of HR processes and be responsible for the overall operational effectiveness and compliance with company policies and applicable legislation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across the site, providing advice, support and guidance on a range of people related matters.
- Communicate and consult on all areas of human resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, organisational development, employee relations, and performance management in alignment with human resources strategies and processes.
- Manage employee relations, handling complex issues in areas such as performance management, conduct, absenteeism, disciplinary procedures, and grievances.
- Coach line leaders on HR and people related matters to improve management capability within the business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Must have experience working in a unionised environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Job Offer
Day rate: 315 per day via Umbrella company.
Contract: Full time – 2 – 3 months, interviews asap, February start.
Location: Hybrid – 3/4 days onsite in Pontypool.
