My client is a respected UK-based SME, operating at the forefront of technical innovation. Operating across multiple sites, they work with a global client base to tackle complex, high-impact challenges. As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the finance function within this growing SME. This is a hands-on role and a real opportunity to influence and upskill a well-established team in order to improve financial performance and help shape the future direction of the business.
Responsibilities:- Full ownership of day-to-day financial operations, overseeing a team of 3 part-qualified Accountants
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts and being the first manager review on a monthly basis and then working with senior stakeholders to talk through performance commentary
- Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, providing insight to support commercial decisions
- Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and financial controls as the business grows
- Liaise with external advisors including accountants, auditors, banks, and insurers
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by sufficient experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role within an SME environment
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate numbers into insight
- Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, evolving business
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
- Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum
- Performance based bonus, annually
