Role Overview
The responsibilities for the Head of Legal – Employment include:
- Advising senior management and the Executive Committee on employment legal matters.
- Partnering with the People Function to develop strategic, compliant policies and programs across labour and employment law.
- Managing employment law issues across the Group, including UK, Germany, and Ireland.
- Reviewing and updating employee documentation such as Handbooks, contracts, and agreements.
- Providing legal guidance on legislation, ESG reporting, and Pay Transparency requirements.
- Handling contentious employment issues, risk assessments, and legal defense strategies.
- Maintaining the employment legal risk register and advising on legal trends and changes.
- Supporting employment immigration compliance and benefits-related legal advice.
- Representing the company in external consultations and liaising with external bodies.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
- Qualified Solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in law firms or multinational corporate environments, preferably in-house.
- Proven ability to advise HR and senior managers on complex employment matters.
