Senior leadership for the Compliance and H&S teams for 2,500 properties across Yorkshire and the North East. Oversees 2 direct reports – Compliance Manager and H&S Manager – and a wider team of 7 supporting staff. Responsible for managing key compliance areas including Gas, Electrics, Fire, Asbestos, Lifts & Legionella and the overall H&S team. Reports to the Executive team and board, ensuring adherence to the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards and relevant legislations. Owns KPI’s and leads strategic planning for both Compliance and Safety, while developing and implementing improved policies and procedures.

As part of this strategy, three specialist positions are being recruited: Head of Compliance, Health & Safety Manager, and Health & Safety Officer.
Profile
- Relevant construction qualifications
- Relevant compliance or safety qualifications
- Proven track record in leading compliance teams
- Experience operating in a similar role in the housing or care sectors
- Thorough understanding of key housing legislations for compliance
- Ability to oversee teams managing Electrics, Gas, Fire Safety, Asbestos, Legionella, and Lifts
- Commutable distance from York
