As a Fund Accounting Associate, you will support the day-to-day accounting, reporting, and reconciliation activities across a range of investment funds, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting while developing your expertise in fund operations and accounting principles.

- Description
- Support the day-to-day accounting and administration of investment funds, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and maintenance of fund records.
- Assist with the preparation and review of fund NAV calculations, investor reporting, and financial statements.
- Perform cash, bank, and investment reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, and other third-party service providers as required.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and reporting initiatives across the fund accounting function.
- Profile
A successful Accounting Associate must have
- 1-2 years of experience gained within an accountancy practice, audit firm, fund administrator, or a similar financial services environment.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Exposure to audit, fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial reporting activities.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn new accounting and reporting systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to develop a long-term career within fund accounting.
- Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
