The role of Fleet & Maintenance Manager involves overseeing the maintenance and management of a large HGV fleet within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This permanent position is based in Nottinghamshire and requires a proactive individual with expertise in the management and maintenance of HGV fleets. Client Details This organisation operates within the industrial/manufacturing sector and is recognised for its established presence and commitment to operational excellence. As a mid-sized company, they are focused on delivering reliable logistics solutions and maintaining high standards in fleet operations. Description Manage and oversee the maintenance schedule for the entire HGV fleet to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for fleet management and repairs. Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance records to identify trends and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards within the logistics department. Coordinate with external service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Lead and support a team of maintenance staff to achieve operational targets. Manage budgets and report on fleet costs and performance to senior management. Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking fleet utilisation and availability.Profile A successful Fleet & Maintenance Manager should have: Proven expertise in HGV fleet management and maintenance within the industrial/manufacturing sector. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for logistics operations. CPC (required) and O Licence responsibility Experience in managing budgets and analysing fleet performance data. Experience in managing both inhouse and outsourced HGV maintenance (MIRTE preferenece) Effective leadership skills to manage and motivate a team. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using fleet management systems and tools.Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000 per annum. Car allowance of £6,000 per year. Performance-based bonus of up to 20%. Permanent role offering stability and growth within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
