We are seeking a dedicated Fire Surveyor for a permanent position with a well-known housing association based in South Manchester - One Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest fire safety standards across a portfolio of residential properties in the Manchester area.

Description

  • Conduct thorough reviews of FRA's carried out by caretakers/external providers on One Manchester's housing stock
  • Producing detailed fire safety reports and recommendations
  • Pre & Post works sign off
  • Ensuring all properties comply with current fire safety regulations
  • Providing fire safety advice and training to staff and residents
  • Working closely with local fire services and other regulatory bodies
  • Managing fire safety improvement projects from inception to completion
  • Keeping up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and best practice
  • Contributing to the development of organisational fire safety policies and procedures
  • Supporting the wider building safety team
  • Providing Technical Support
  • Engaging with customers
  • Contractor management

Profile

  • Relevant Fire Safety, Surveying or Construction qualifications
  • Experience working in a similar role for a residential provider
  • Thorough understanding of fire safety within social housing
  • Management of external contractors, consultants, customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills

Job Offer
