The Fire Safety Surveyor is responsible for overseeing fire safety compliance across the housing portfolio, ensuring fire risk assessment (FRA) actions and remedial works are completed to regulatory standards. The role combines building inspections, contractor management, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement to help keep residents safe and properties compliant with fire safety legislation. Client Details This role is within the not-for-profit sector and focuses on property management. Description Conduct fire risk assessments and surveys across the property portfolio. Provide detailed reports and recommendations to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. Work closely with the property team to implement necessary fire safety measures. Monitor and review fire safety policies and procedures. Advise on fire safety legislation and best practices. Inspect and assess fire safety equipment and systems. Collaborate with external contractors to ensure quality and compliance in fire safety works. Keep accurate records and provide updates on fire safety compliance.Profile A successful Fire Safety Surveyor should have: Experience as a Fire Safety Surveyor or Building Surveyor in a maintenance or housing environment. NEBOSH Fire or equivalent. Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Experience managing contractors and inspecting works. Knowledge of building regulations, construction defects, fire safety standards and contract management. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Membership of RICS, CIOB, IFE or a similar professional body is desirable but not essential.Job Offer Salary of £52,000 to £57,000 per year, dependent on the level of experience. £1,800 car allowance.
