Base pay range An exciting, permanent position for a Financial Controller to join a well established manufacturing business. Ideal for a 2nd time mover who has manufacturing experienced or a seasoned Finance Manager/ Financial Controller from the manufacturing sector. Michael Page are working with a global manufacturing business to hire a Financial Controller. This is ideally suited to you if you are looking for your first controller role and possess experience within the manufacturing space or you are an experienced Site Financial Controller and looking for a move into a more values based business. Description As Financial Controller, your role will involve; Monthly profit forecasting, month end closing & monthly reporting. Ensuring timely and accurate accounts monthly, reconciling the balance sheet to supporting detail. Management of 1 experienced finance assistant. Monthly management accounts preparation & presenting to senior leadership team. Financial Audit; liaising with external auditors, responsible for providing documentation Year end closure including year end adjustments if necessary. Close cost control through managing budgets alongside departmental heads. Reviewing system processes and implementing more efficient ways of working. Budget planning around fluctuating demand, activity based budgeting. Stock control analysis, determining slow moving stock, and the process to improve stock controls. Fixed Asset management and capitalisation. R&D recording for tax relief purposes. Profile Manufacturing experience Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
