The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparation of journals, managing control accounts, and performing regular balance sheet reconciliations

Description

  • Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage company investments.
  • Prepare the Monthly Management Accounts Pack
  • Prepare and post revenue journal entries in accordance with established accounting standards and company policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile control accounts (e.g, revenue, cash, credit cards etc.,).
  • Conduct a range of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure financial data integrity and resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.
  • Comply with internal controls and financial policies

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting standards.
  • Experience preparing journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Understanding of control accounts and their role in financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
