Alongside leading all HR activities, you will oversee payroll operations, managing a small but highly effective HR and Payroll team and ensuring the smooth delivery of a fortnightly payroll process. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR function across a multi-site operational workforce.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance and performance management cases.
  • Support managers on all people-related matters and employment legislation.
  • Manage recruitment activity and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Drive HR compliance, policy development and best practice.
  • Coordinate training and development activities.
  • Oversee payroll processes and provide support when required.
  • Manage and develop a small HR and Payroll team.
  • Partner with senior leaders to support business objectives and organisational growth.

Profile

A successful HR Manager should have:

  • Strong HR generalist experience.
  • Proven employee relations expertise.
  • Experience supporting operational or field-based workforces.
  • Recruitment and talent acquisition experience.
  • Sage Payroll experience.
  • The ability to oversee payroll and provide operational support when needed.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within infrastructure, construction, utilities, transport, engineering, logistics or other operationally focused sectors would be highly advantageous.
