A strategic Key Account Management role, focused on managing and growing large, complex infrastructure and contractor accounts, while identifying new opportunities across major projects and frameworks. A leading and well-established construction materials and infrastructure solutions business, supporting major projects across highways, civil engineering and the built environment. Working alongside Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, the business delivers essential materials and services into large-scale infrastructure and commercial development.

Operating as a key commercial contact, you will take ownership of a portfolio of major infrastructure clients, ensuring long-term partnerships, strong commercial performance and sustainable growth across key projects. Field-based role covering Yorkshire and the North.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts across infrastructure, highways and civil engineering projects.
  • Build senior relationships within Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and key decision-makers.
  • Drive account performance across volume, margin and long‑term framework agreements.
  • Identify and unlock new project opportunities within existing and target accounts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and contract development.
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics and technical teams to deliver consistently high service levels.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility and market insight to leadership.
  • Support wider regional growth strategy through strategic account planning.

Proven experience in Key Account Management, Business Development or Account Leadership within infrastructure / highways, construction materials (aggregates, asphalt, building materials), or civil engineering or large project environments. Strong experience managing large, complex, multi‑site or framework‑based accounts. Established relationships or experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractors. Commercially strong with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts and identify new project opportunities. Experience managing or mentoring people is highly advantageous (succession planning focus). Proactive, structured and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, operationally complex environment.
