As Deputy Director of Finance you will oversee the financial reporting and transactional finance team. You will play a key role as part of the SLT for this 6 month Interim role.

Description
As Interim Deputy Director of Finance your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the team across Financial Reporting and Financial Operations
- Oversee Month End Reporting Processes and internal deadlines
- Review External Financial reporting for different contracts
- Proceed with process development of the Finance system and new modules
- Identify and correct control weaknesses with new appropriate processes
- Ensure control and reporting fund accounting throughout different income streams.
- Establish relationships with contract leads and significant budget holders
You will be a member of the Senior Leadership team, and will play a key part in the running of the operational finance team for 6 months as a minimum.
Profile
My client is looking for someone with the following experience:
- Experience of working at a Senior finance level, either as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Finance Director or Head of Finance, along with experience of managing a team.
- An understanding of Charities SORP and Fund Accounting would be preferable.
- Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central would be useful.
- The ability to start at short notice and fully commit to 6 months.
The team you are managing are Dover based, so although this role can be based anywhere, you must be able to visit Dover to see the team on a regular basis.
My client would also consider someone who is looking to work 4 days per week.
Job Offer
A day rate of up to Β£350 per day (paye) or Β£400 per day (umbrella) dependent on experience.
The opportunity to work mostly from home with occasional travel to Dover.
If preferred, the ability to work 4 days per week.
