This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the Accounting & Finance department within the not-for-profit industry. The role is based in Dudley and focuses on providing vital financial support on a temporary basis.

Description

  • Process weekly purchase ledger payment runs and ad‑hoc payments
  • Monitor balances across approximately 40 current accounts (across four major banks) to ensure sufficient funds for upcoming payments
  • Complete monthly HMRC payments
  • Perform monthly agreement and reconciliation of group intercompany and control accounts
  • Carry out purchase ledger processing, including intercompany journals
  • Update and maintain the chart of accounts
  • Undertake various ad‑hoc accounting duties as required

Profile

  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations within the not-for-profit industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
