Regional HR Manager role, supporting the UK and Europe, managing a small team responsible for full operational and strategic oversight of the function.

Client Details: The client is an industrial services business with sites across Doncaster and Stoke on Trent as well as sites in Europe.

Description:

  • Responsible for a small team
  • Lead on all HR and Payroll activity for sites in the UK and multiple sites in central Europe, headcount c. 300
  • Lead on strategic workforce and resource planning for the region
  • Manage and influence key stakeholders
  • Drive direct recruitment strategies to reduce agency spend and reliance
  • Support and coach managers on all people and performance related matters
  • Manage HR systems to deliver effective HR reporting and analysis
  • Promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture
  • Keep ahead of the curve with upcoming legislative changes i.e. EU pay transparency and Employment Rights Bill
  • Lead on any complex ER cases
  • Lead on Training and Leadership development across the sites.

Profile: The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven expertise in human resources management within the industrial, engineering or rail sectors
  • Strong knowledge of UK and EU employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on driving organisational growth through effective HR practices
  • Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis
  • A relevant HR qualification or degree

Please note this is a fully on site role based either in Stoke on Trent or Doncaster and will require someone on site in one of those locations 5 days per week. There will be exceptions around home working on an ad hoc basis, and they are very accommodating when it comes to flexible working.
