As the Director of Property Services, you\’ll provide strategic leadership across the property services portfolio, managing an annual budget exceeding 9 million and leading a dedicated team of professionals. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in housing service delivery while making a real difference to residents\’ lives. You will be a full member of the Corporate Management Team, contributing to the strategic direction.

Description
The role responsibilities as Director of Property Services are:
- Strategic leadership of all property services, including repairs, maintenance, compliance, and capital works
- Development and implementation of comprehensive asset management strategies
- Oversight of major investment programmes and new building projects
- Management of critical compliance and safety programmes
- Leading digital transformation initiatives to enhance service delivery
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with contractors and stakeholders
Profile
The successful Director of Property Services should have:
- Minimum 5 years\’ senior management experience in property services, preferably within social housing
- Degree level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Building Surveying, Facilities Management)
- Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIH, or CIOB)
- Proven track record in managing large-scale repairs and maintenance services
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing substantial budgets
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication at all levels
- Demonstrable success in driving service improvements and cultural change
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle and able to drive to Saffron Walden
- Ability to participate in senior management on-call rota
- Flexibility to attend evening meetings when required
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
