Our client is a well-established UK-based distributor operating across construction and infrastructure markets, with a long trading history and strong customer relationships. Following a recent change in ownership, the business has entered a new phase of growth and transformation, with a renewed focus on financial visibility, commercial performance, and operational efficiency. They are now looking to strengthen their finance function with the addition of an FP&A Accountant to support this next stage.
Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial insight and supporting improved decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Delivering robust variance analysis and clear financial commentary
- Building and maintaining financial models to support planning and strategy
- Providing commercial analysis across revenue, margins, and customer profitability
- Acting as a business partner to sales, operations, and senior stakeholders
- Enhancing reporting processes, dashboards, and data visibility
- Supporting ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives
Profile
You will be a commercially minded finance professional with experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related role. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and engaging with stakeholders across the business.
Key requirements
- Ideally fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholdersProactive and adaptable approach, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g. Power BI) / SQL etc is desirable
Job Offer
- Competitive salary between £65,000 and £75,000 per annum.
- 10% discretionary bonus.
