A Corporate Tax Manager role focused on delivering complex UK corporate tax compliance and supporting a wide range of advisory projects, including restructurings, transactions and share schemes. The position offers significant technical exposure, client ownership and a clear pathway towards senior leadership.

Our client is a well established and growing independent accountancy and advisory firm with multiple offices across the Midlands. The firm advises a wide range of owner managed businesses, groups and private clients, combining tax, audit and consultancy expertise to support long term growth, transactions and strategic change. Continued investment in their Corporate and Transactions Tax capability has created the need for an additional Manager to support increasing client demand.

Description

  • Taking ownership of complex corporate tax compliance work, including group structures, audit clients, loss utilisation and post planning implementation.
  • Delivering corporate focused advisory projects such as reorganisations, business sales, share schemes, tax valuations, EIS and wider structuring work.
  • Supporting projects with cross border elements and interaction with related tax areas including capital gains tax, SDLT, stamp duty, inheritance tax and international PAYE.
  • Liaising directly with clients, HMRC and third parties as the day to day technical contact.
  • Researching and interpreting complex legislation and communicating outcomes clearly and practically.
  • Managing multiple assignments simultaneously with strong workflow and deadline control.
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing technical guidance and mentoring.
  • Supporting business development through technical input, marketing activity and events where desired.

Profile

  • ATT or ACA qualified with approximately 2 to 3 years' post qualification experience in UK corporate tax.
  • Experience across corporate tax compliance with exposure to advisory work.
  • CTA qualified or motivated to study towards CTA.
  • Strong technical grounding combined with a commercial, pragmatic approach.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
  • Organised and capable of managing workloads independently.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
  • Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing corporate tax function.
