As a Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias, you'll play a key role in keeping machinery running smoothly and reducing downtime in a busy environment. Client Details A well known established business within its industry, that supply multiple clients across the UK Description Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving manufacturing equipment and production systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, supporting continuous improvement projects, ensuring machinery meets health and safety standards, and helping to maintain a reliable and efficient production environment. You will work closely with the production team to minimise downtime, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support preventative maintenance programmes.Profile The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent, such as an NVQ, BTEC or completed Engineering Apprenticeship, with further qualifications being advantageous. You will ideally have previous engineering or maintenance experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or other fast-paced manufacturing environment. A strong technical background across both mechanical and electrical engineering is highly desirable, with proven experience in fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance. Someone who is hands-on, practical and confident working directly with machinery and production equipment. You will be a natural problem solver who enjoys getting to the root cause of issues rather than simply applying a temporary fix. A proactive attitude, strong safety awareness and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement are also important.
