I am supporting a fantastic business in Corby in their search for a newly created permanent Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a varied, hands on role in a fast moving business.

Description
The Cost Accountant's duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and review of the Sales and Cost of Sales Reconciliations leading to full product wide margin analysis
- Coordination and collation of multi-site stock take and goods on monthly basis
- Preparation of the Stock reconciliation and analysis
- Preparation of monthly cost of materials
- Reporting on site overheads and daily production to ascertain overhead costs
- Shipping analysis and accruals
- Assisting with production of accurate and timely management accounts for all legal entities
- Work with the support functions to prepare the monthly management accounts
- Assisting with production of forecasts and budgets
- Prepare key KPI's (incl. Profitability, sales growth and overheads) for key monthly variances and prepare commentary for leadership
- Improve and maintain periodic cash flow forecasting
- Ad hoc duties as required
Profile
A successful Cost Accountant should have:
- Part or full qualification in ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or relevant experience).
- Strong understanding of stock controls.
- Experience working in a similar role in a busy finance function.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to partner with relevant stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
