An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Specialist to join a well-established financial services organisation on a fixed-term contract. This role will offer hands‑on exposure to regulatory oversight, assurance delivery, and business partnering within a highly regulated environment.
This role is a 6‑month fixed term contract with a strong likelihood of extension, and a permanent employment offer for the right candidate following the initial 6‑month period. Our client is a respected and long‑standing financial services provider with a strong presence in the UK market. Operating within a regulated environment, the organisation is focused on maintaining high standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to work closely with the executive team and hold responsibility for the most high‑importance compliance tasks of the organisation, offering tremendous value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the compliance oversight plan, ensuring adherence to FCA, PRA and UK GDPR requirements
- Develop and implement the annual compliance assurance and monitoring plan
- Design proportionate and effective compliance review scopes
- Produce high‑quality compliance monitoring reports and track remediation actions
- Provide pragmatic advice and guidance to stakeholders on regulatory requirements
- Support the development of compliant processes, controls and procedures across the business
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote a robust compliance culture
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a compliance function in financial services
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA and PRA requirements
- Experience delivering compliance monitoring or assurance reviews
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regulation and apply it in practice
- Previous certified regulatory experience would be advantageous
