This role leads the charity's communications function, developing content, PR and storytelling strategies that raise awareness, engage stakeholders and support organisational objectives. You will oversee publications, media relations and editorial standards while managing the Creative & Content Lead and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.

Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity supports two world-renowned heart and lung hospitals, funding pioneering research, advanced medical equipment and projects that improve care for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the charity's communications and content strategy.
  • Line manage and support the Creative & Content Lead.
  • Plan and oversee content across internal and external channels.
  • Lead the production of reports, brochures and key publications.
  • Write, edit and quality-check communications and marketing content.
  • Develop compelling case studies, impact stories and thought leadership.
  • Build and manage relationships with media and press contacts.
  • Lead proactive PR activity and respond to media enquiries.

Profile:

  • Proven experience in communications, PR and content strategy.
  • Strong track record of creating high-quality content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and editorial management skills.
  • Experience building media relationships and delivering PR campaigns.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Strategic, organised and able to translate complex information into compelling stories.
  • Values-driven, proactive and motivated by making a positive impact.

Salary - £40K
