Description Set and operate CNC machines to meet production targets and quality standards.
Experience: Either apprentice trained + 3-4 years post apprenticeship or 8 years+ relevant work experience
Machines: Any CNC, multi axis (5+)
Software: FANUC - You do not need to write the programs as this is done by the Applications department; however, you must be able to read them and understand them to help spot possible issues.
G-code (generic code) and M-code (machine code) knowledge, as if G and M codes are not known, then it is impossible to be able to read the program as stated above.
Industry: High precision engineering and/or small batch production Profile A successful CNC Setter Operator (Nights) should have: Proven experience in setting and operating CNC machines.
Strong technical skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
