The Health & Safety Advisor role involves supporting the Property department within a Not For Profit organisation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Health and Safety Adviser will work closely with the Head of Health and Safety to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's Health and Safety Policy and Management System. This is a key role in embedding best practice, driving consistency, and supporting operational teams in delivering safe and compliant services.

- Provide practical H&S advice and support to managers and teams
- Promote a positive safety and wellbeing culture across the organisation
- Support and lead on incident investigations, ensuring learnings are embedded
- Manage RIDDOR and MOR reporting, including external liaison where required
- Conduct inspections, audits, and ensure actions are tracked to completion
- Complete and review risk assessments, supporting teams to manage risks effectively
- Maintain H&S systems, records, and data accuracy
- Support policy development, training delivery, and H&S communications
- Partner with HR on employee-related H&S matters
- Provide reporting, assurance, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Profile:
- NEBOSH Certificate (Level 3) essential; working towards Diploma desirable
- IOSH membership
- Experience in an H&S Adviser role within housing, property, or similar environments
- Strong background in incident investigation, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Good knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessment, and assurance processes
- Confident communicator able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical, reporting, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound professional judgements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and H&S systems
- Experience within social housing or property environments
- Involvement in organisation-wide H&S or culture change initiatives
- Knowledge of wellbeing and occupational health practices
