To support the Group Accountant with general accounting duties, with a focus on the production of management accounts across multiple companies, supporting the year-end audit process and assisting with statutory accounts and group reporting.

Description- Produce monthly management accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with cash flows reporting.
- Support the preparation of the annual budgets.
- Produce consolidated financial and management reports for the Board of Directors across multiple entities.
- Support the year-end audit process, including posting journals, preparing supporting schedules, and completing Group consolidation schedules in compliance with FRS 102 and current legislation.
- Responsible for the preparation, review and timely submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy, reconciliation with management accounts, and achievement of deadlines.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Finance system maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Proactively support the implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing processes.
- Assist the Group Accountant with ad-hoc projects and reporting.
- Ensure that all bookkeeping, documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date.
- A strong background in Accounting & Finance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A relevant qualification or working towards one in Accounting or Finance.
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
- ACCA/CIMA with a proven track record of attention to detail, producing accurate work and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations would be an advantage.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs), Word and SharePoint.
- A professional, diligent and approachable manner.
