To support the finance function with day-to-day activities, assisting with month-end process, reporting and maintaining accurate financial records across the business.

Description:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts including posting journal, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Assist in the production of reports to the Boards of Directors.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation, including supporting schedules and information request.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Proactively support the implementation of new systems and help improve those in place.
- Assist the Group Accountant in the preparation of ad-hoc projects and reporting.
- Ensure that all bookkeeping, documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date.
Profile: A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- Previous experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations would be an advantage.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs), Word and SharePoint.
- A professional, diligent and approachable manner.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
