The Junior Financial Controller will support the finance department with accounting, reporting, and financial planning in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.

Description:

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise financial performance.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors.

Profile: A successful Junior Financial Controller should have:

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Recent industry experience (travel, tourism or leisure industry desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102, UK PAYE, payroll, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with group/consolidated reporting.
  • Experience with FX revaluations.
  • Working knowledge of Xero as the core system.
  • Exposure to CRM integration/implementation.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Offer:
