We are partnering with a diverse business undergoing a period of transformation and growth. The finance function is in a transition period, there is an immediate need for a hands-on, adaptable Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant to support across a broad range of duties in Chester. This is initially an 8-week assignment with strong potential to extend, based in Chester, offering exposure to a fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining continuity while processes evolve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable: raising POs, matching and processing invoices
  • Accounts Receivable: sales invoicing, cash allocation, and credit control
  • Managing delivery notes and supporting operational finance processes
  • Supporting expense platforms
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with journals and accruals and month-end processes
  • Documenting existing processes and identifying improvements
  • Providing broader support across the finance team during a period of change

Profile

We are looking for a proactive and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a fluid environment:

  • Solid experience across AP, AR, and month-end processes
  • Able to "roll sleeves up" and cover a wide range of finance tasks
