Our client is looking to hire a Commercial Finance Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. This is a newly created, permanent role and will form a key part of their finance team. You will be working on a hybrid basis, with access to either the Cheltenham or Falmouth office.
Client Details: Our client is a multinational business who are investing in their finance team, with the aim of becoming a more strategic and commercially focused function. This role will help to embed commercial insight and analytical thinking into planning and decision making.
Description: The Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:
- Deliver commercial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
- Conduct pricing, margin, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate commercial performance and support scenario planning.
- Provide clear, data-driven reporting that highlights risks, opportunities, and trends.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with robust commercial input.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to inform business strategy.
- Partner with colleagues across the business to evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of commercial initiatives.
- Help develop dashboards and automated reporting tools to provide real-time insights.
- Contribute to the documentation and sharing of best practices, supporting training and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the global finance team and wider business to align efforts with organisational objectives.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects.
- Ensure that financial insights are embedded into strategic planning cycles and drive continuous improvement in commercial analysis.
Profile: The successful candidate for the Commercial Finance Analyst role will ideally:
- Be ACA/CIMA or ACCA qualified.
- Have a background in pricing strategy, margin optimisation, or commercial analysis.
- Be familiar with data visualisation and automation tools.
- Have a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis processes.
- Have the ability to influence and engage stakeholders to drive change.
