Description
We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing finance team supporting a complex, operationally focused organisation undergoing significant transformation and investment.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with senior leaders and budget holders, providing the financial insight, challenge and support required to drive performance, manage risk and support informed decision-making.
You'll be a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders, helping to ensure financial targets are achieved while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and value for money.
Reporting into a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate management information, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis across key business areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports and insightful performance commentary.
- Leading annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow impacts.
- Building strong relationships with budget holders and senior operational stakeholders.
- Conducting regular financial review meetings and acting as the first point of contact for finance support.
- Supporting and challenging stakeholders through the preparation of business cases and investment decisions.
- Presenting financial performance, risks, opportunities and forecast variances to senior management teams.
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities, efficiencies and process improvements.
- Preparing reconciliations and reviewing financial commitments across assigned areas.
- Supporting year-end audit requirements and responding to auditor queries.
- Delivering ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in financial analysis and business partnering.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Job Offer
- Initial 18-month fixed-term contract
- Salary £60,000
- Hybrid working - 2- 3 days a week in the office
