As Engineering Project Engineer, you will support the planning and delivery of capital and revenue engineering projects across the site. You will work closely with stakeholders and gain exposure to the full project life cycle, from feasibility and specification through to commissioning and handover. This role is ideal for an engineer with 3-5 years' post-graduate experience who is looking to build project management capability.
My client is a well-established, international manufacturing organisation operating within a regulated environment. Engineering plays a central role in site performance, compliance and continuous improvement, and the business is committed to developing future engineering leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations for engineering projects across utilities & facilities
- Assist in developing technical specifications and detailed project plans
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (CAPEX requests, URS, FDS, validation reports)
- Support supplier selection, coordination and performance monitoring
- Help deliver projects on time, within budget and to specification
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and GMP standards
- Support commissioning activities, training and change control processes
- Track and report project progress using KPIs and project tools
- Participate in cross-functional project teams within a matrix organisation
- Support effective project handover to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practice
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years' post-graduate experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Exposure to engineering projects within high speed manufacturing
- Broad mechanical and electrical engineering understanding
- Working knowledge of project management principles
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Comfortable working with suppliers, contractors and internal teams
- Basic CAD knowledge
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and develop
