A Personal Tax Senior will manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the timely preparation and review of personal tax returns while providing high-quality advice on matters such as income tax, CGT, and IHT. The role also involves building strong client relationships, supporting advisory work, and mentoring junior team members.
You’ll be joining a well-established and growing independent accountancy firm with a strong presence across the Midlands. Description
- Main point of contact for clients to obtain relevant facts to process the client file.
- Preparation of and reviewing personal self-assessment tax returns and claims for HNW individuals, trusts and estates. (Preparation will be mainly for more complex returns and reviewing will be mainly for more basic returns).
- Preparation and submission of Capital Gains Tax / Income / Inheritance tax reporting forms.
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries, penalty notices etc.
- Liaising with clients and building and maintaining relationships.
- Advising on day to day tax queries from clients.
- Supporting more senior staff in the Private Client Tax department with tax planning, including preparing IHT/CGT computations, wealth schedules and packs for advisory meetings.
