Description
- Lead the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process including root cause analysis, 8D reporting, and verification of corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and process reviews.
- Develop and implement Supplier Quality Agreements and performance standards.
- Define and maintain incoming inspection standards and defect analysis.
- Lead investigations into production fitment problems using structured problem-solving methods.
- Own the PPAP process for all new and modified components.
- Maintain supplier KPIs including PPM, SCAR closure rates, and audit outcomes.
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supplier site visits to audit quality and capability both domestically and internationally.
Profile
A successful Supplier Quality Engineer should have:
- A background in engineering or manufacturing, with relevant qualifications.
- Experience in supplier quality assurance or related roles within the industrial sector.
