This is a contract role suited to an accountant that has a demonstrable track record in technical accounting and project based work.
My client are a major PLC business in Bristol and are well known in the market.
The key responsibilities in this role:
- Management of a team with both direct and indirect reports
- Review and sign off of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and associated inter-company activities
- An understanding of multi-currency inter-company calculations and reconciliations, associated derivatives and all tax related duties
- Playing a leading role in the ongoing and year-end relationship with the external audit partner
- Managing audit deliverables and clearing any audit findings
- Reviewing and signing off all statutory accounting requirements
- Overseeing all project accounting across the group to ensure accurate project reporting across all business units
- Working closely with relevant internal teams to ensure all project spend is tracked and correctly allocated, in line with budgets, and appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS
- Accurate reporting of all CAPEX and OPEX project costs
- Review and sign off of all group management recharge calculations
- Working closely with group Tax to support
