We are seeking an experienced Logistics Commercial Manager to oversee and drive commercial activities within the logistics department of the transport & distribution industry. This role is based in Bristol.

Responsibilities
- Own and develop the commercial relationship with a portfolio of strategic customers, ensuring retention, growth, and long-term partnership.
- Drive profitability across accounts through robust commercial management, forecasting, and joint business planning.
- Work collaboratively with Site General Managers to conduct annual customer appraisals and contribute recommendations at board level.
- Lead and chair regular customer review meetings, ensuring strong engagement between customers and operational teams.
- Act as the primary escalation point for commercial issues, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution.
- Support contract negotiations, balancing operational capability, cost control, and customer expectations.
- Identify and exploit commercial opportunities to grow share of wallet and embed customers within the wider network.
- Deliver agreed financial KPIs across volume, revenue, margin, and service performance.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Marketing, and HR to implement effective account strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a commercial, account management, or Operations within logistics, supply chain, FMCG, or a related sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, margins, and customer profitability.
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence at senior customer and internal leadership level.
- Experience working across multi-site operations is highly desirable.
- Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer locations and operational sites.
